Home Depot is a dangerous place!
It's filled with all these little plants that want a home, and that would look so good in our garden! I think I'll let James go by himself after this. . . I found a golden sage and a pineapple sage that complete the five varieties thing on Herb Hill. James only bought one pot of coleus, plus the hardware cloth and lime that were the reasons for our visit.
The basil, salvia and cucumber seeds I started in peat pots last week are coming up, so they'll be in the ground soon. And the sage cuttings are beginning to show roots. (The offer is still open if you want to give one a good home. . .)
Kid updates:
Tori is fully into the job search mode now that the play is over and the store where she used to work has shut down. She and Eliza both have exams at the community college this week. Liza is halfway through her AP exams, and gloating that she only has one more "normal" week left in high school. (She starts a mid-day world literature class at the community college on the 22nd, and high school finals Tuesday after Memorial Day.) We get a countdown to departure several times each week, and "I want to know my city!" at least daily.
Kyle spent his Saturday morning at the library finishing a research project he "didn't want to do" at the appropriate time. We love you, Son! Then Saturday afternoon was spent on yardwork, helping Dad and making up for the time that James would have been working in the yard if he hadn't had to make a trip to the library.
Have I mentioned raising children is a growth experience????
The twins and I are looking forward to our trip to visit friends in Alabama next month, and will get to spend a few days with grandparents in Virginia on each end of the trip.
I'm starting the job search explorations, since I'll have a good bit of time on my hands when Samuel goes back to school next year. The first application goes in this week, for review the following week. I'll let you know how it goes.
